OpenNetworkers.info TV launched, editors needed

Have a look at the ON TV we have just launched, it is widget enabled and thus can and will be expected to be republished across the ON and other online resources.
It has integrated chat as well.

The idea is to run an OpenSeminar which anyone can follow online and that the audience will be able to react by adding chat-discussions.
Therefore we need carefully selected quality in content of videos and volunteers to put everything together in our virtual ON TV studio.

Ray,

This looks like it has great innovative potential but your communication is too vague for me to make a decision about my involvement. The station is just showing a bunch of random junk at the moment. Will there be pre-anouncement of upcoming 'openseminar' presentations so that we can see it in action the way you intend it to be leveraged?

Can you post instructions on how to republish it?

What does volunteer involvement entail? I have no video capabilities whatsoever but would love to utilize this medium for training in job search techniques. Would love to brainstorm with you how I can make this possible and what else I can do to assist launching this new tool for the network.

Cheers,

Wendy

Hello Wendy,

More information for volunteers:

Like all the other applications this is an opensource online application (from Mogulus) which you just have to 'join' by loggin in. Our address there is: http://www.mogulus.com/opennetworkers

It is invitation based, so if you are interested I'll send you an invitation. After being logged-in you'll notice a dashboard with a number of pink tabs at the top. As an editor you'll just have to worry about the 'Manage Library' tab were you can add video's to a
'storyboard'. Screenshot:

You just run a search-query to your item you are interested in and the studio will present you all the videos on Youtube at your disposal. These you can drag and drop to your 'storyboard' on the left. That way we can create multiple storyboard, one for recruiters, one for jobseekers, one for... etc etc. So it's just doing a query, dragging and dropping things, that's it. About 15 minutes to create a 'storyboard' . the trick is to select them one by one guarding quality so that only the best videos get selected and that takes time.

Also if you look at the other tabs you'll notice that you can also upload your own video's or even record directly from your webcam. That way it opens up the possibility to add your recorded webinar as well. That was just my first thought, but undoubtedly we can be creative and think of other ways to use it.

There also is a tab where you can access the widget code to republish it anywhere, but the widget itself will generate it as well, it is underneath the video screen and I will add 4 different formats of codes here (attached file)

Thank you for noticing the 'lauched' misspelling. English isn't my first language so if you notice any strange sentences or misspelled words, do inform me. Together we can raise the quality of the content.
